Paula Patton was born in Los Angeles in a middle-class family. Her childhood was filled with big dreams. Her best roles include the film about spying, Mission: Impossible: Ghost Protocol as well as the romantic drama Precious. Her early years were lived in Los Angeles where she came from a family of middle-class. Her mother enjoyed watching films and inculcated a love for film in her young daughter and also. Paula participated in co-curricular school events, and she was particularly interested in acting. Paula was a fan of acting with her classmates as well as participating in the school's stage productions. Hamilton Magnet Arts High School gave her many opportunities to be an actor throughout her schooling and she picked acting to pursue a career. She attended in the University of Southern California for a Summer Program and loved it. She was given a three month assignment to make documentary films for PBS. She started as an assistant to production for TV documentaries, after completing her task. Then she began producing documentaries. Though she loved her job, she still dreamed of being an actor. in the film romantic comedy Hitch she played a small part with Will Smith. Since then she's appeared in numerous productions and films.
